Fremont is currently the only community in Nebraska to create film incentives within our LB840 utilizing the verbiage of LB863 that allowed communities to use local development funds to supplement television and film productions.

This was done through an existing rural development program and as a result, Omaha and Lincoln are not eligible to offer incentives through the law. However, Eastern Nebraska Film Office is currently working with Omaha and Lincoln to join Fremont in offering incentives to spur production and job growth.
We are also working with a number of interested communities highlighted. If there is a community you are interested in filming in, please contact us and we will discuss the possibility with that community and offer them the tools to implement the incentive.
